about us
Who are we? well, our names are Susan Wright-Cassan and Lisa Ferris .
We both are people who love the process of putting on an art show.
We both love meeting new people, working with them to create an event that is unique. We enjoy being able to talk about our work with others, especially other artisans. We both find that connection and cooperation inspires us, and we have an incredible amount of fun hanging out with each other.
Susan is a woodworker, specializing in Intarsia, along with innovative charcuterie boards, often involving poured resin. She has been involved with many groups in town, sat on numerous boards, and assisted with countless events, workshops, and competitions. She travels extensively, and often is inspired by the adventures that she has on each trip. Susan has a dry wit, and often will be found smiling while disarming everyone around her with a hilarious story.
Susan's art based business is called Wood'newe, and can be found on Facebook and Instagram.
Lisa works with wire, glass, rock and twigs, making all matter of things including jewelry, accessories, mini sculptures, wall hangings and wreaths. In the last ten years, she has been increasingly involved with digital art and collage, and is also a content creator for groups she is involved in. Lisa also sits on a few boards in town, assisting with things she is passionate about. Over the years, Lisa has interviewed many artisans, authors, bakers, etc. on one of her radio shows at CILU.
